Willie Jean Graves' Obituary
Willie Jean Graves, of Garland, Texas passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024, at the age of eighty-three.
Jean, daughter of Charlie and Kathryn Wagner, was number five out of six kids (brothers Junior, Delbert, James, Troy, and sister Joyce).
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, the love of her life, James R. Graves (Bob) and beloved son, Dwayne Graves.
She is survived by her daughter, Marita Husted and her husband Craig from Galveston, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren (who called her Nana) Alexis Safford, Liberty Safford, and Blake Graves and his three daughters, along with many cousins, nephews, nieces, and their families.
Jean worked as a cafeteria manager for Garland Independent School District many years. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling. Over the years they traveled to almost all fifty states. Crafting was one of her favorite hobbies. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and follower of Christ, whose impact will be forever felt by her family that loves her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at DFW National Cemetery.
