Willie Eulala Isaacs, "Billie Bob"'s Obituary
Willie Eulala Isaacs, known to all as Billie Bob, passed away October 7, 2020. Ninety nine years ago, she was born to Martha and Edgar Twyford of Sherman, Texas. She was the eighth of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death. Billie could not wait to join her husband, Oliver Isaacs, who passed away in 1981. She often spoke of the day she could be with him again.
Billie loved the Lord and was a believer in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Gaston Oaks Baptists church for more than 50 years where she worked in the library and was constantly decorating the library display.
Billie spoiled her many nieces and nephews with trips to the theater, Arboretum and historical sights. She wanted all of them to understand their own history and to see the beauty around them. She also liked to travel and learn about cultures different from her own. She loved art and many of the pieces she collected were small handmade items by the people she met on her travels. A trip to her home, although long gone, was like a cultural experience.
Wherever she went, people would always say, ‘she’s so sweet.’ What a wonderful memory she blessed others with.
