Willie J. Lee's Obituary
Willie James Lee born September 29, 1924 in Farmersville, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2016 in Dallas. He was the youngest son of James Andrew Lee and Martha Ann Chapman. Willie served as a Sergeant in the US Army during World War II. He served in the South Pacific overseeing amphibious units as they went to shore. After the war, he met and married the love of his life, Letha Nell (Hinsley) Lee in McKinney, Texas. They later moved to Dallas and were married 61 years. Willie worked in the baking industry, eventually becoming a maintenance engineer. He and Letha had 3 daughters. Willie is preceded in death by his wife, Letha, as well as an infant daughter, Patricia Jo Lee. He is also preceded in death by his parents and 4 older siblings. Willie is survived by his daughter, Victoria Davison and husband Billy from Texarkana, Texas and daughter, Charlotte DeLeon and husband Maurilio from Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Willie enjoyed traveling, gardening, and coin collecting. He was known for his beautiful flowers and tomatoes from his garden. Willie came to know Jesus later in life at the age of 77. He was a member of the church of Christ. His loved ones look forward to seeing his flower gardens in Heaven. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will take place at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
