Reverend Willie Fred Smith Sr.'s Obituary
Smith, Sr., Willie Fred passed away on July 20, 2013. He was born in Waskom, Texas, the fourth of seven children, Willie Fred accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Dallas Public Schools, served in the U.S. Army and attended several universities in pursuit of the Business degrees that he attained. He was employed with Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation for 38 years. After retiring, he became an entrepreneur and opened Quik Serv Title Service. The office was very successful and employed as many as eight full time employees. Willie Fred was an ordained Minister and served as Pastor of The Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas for 34 years. He believed and preached that faith in GOD and faith in yourself is the key to accomplishing your dreams no matter how impossible they may seem. He is survived by wife, Birdie Smith; children, Jesse, Willie Jr., John & Adrian; grandchildren, Kellye, Cree, Trinitee & Xavier; with a host of other family & friends. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas, 2662 Anderson Dallas, TX. Services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, 300 E. Phillips, Richardson, TX. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2013 at DFW National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX.
