Willie Conway Younger, Jr.'s Obituary
Willie Conway “Bill” Younger, Jr., age 85, died peacefully Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in Arlington, Texas. Also known as “W.C.”, he was born in Corsicana, Texas to Wrinnie Estelle (nee Dorsey) and Willie Conway Younger Sr. on June 13, 1934. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Nell (nee Cordell) Younger, his parents, his sister Loree Farrell Palmeri (nee Younger) and his nephew David Dale Farrell. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Ann Younger Myers (Thomas), his son Gregory Conway Younger (Laurie) and grandchildren Ashley Frances Myers Dombrowski (EJ) and Ian Thomas Myers (Ryann).A graduate of Texas A&M ’57 he was a life-long fan of Aggie football and a proud former member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. He was passionate about deer hunting and fishing. After retirement from Members Insurance Company he spent many years living on the Texas Gulf Coast before moving to Lake Richland Chambers.A 32″ Degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite, he moved to the Texas Masonic Retirement Center in Arlington, Texas. He enjoyed the company of the many friends he made in his new home, his afternoon poker games and volunteering at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children every Wednesday.Funeral services for Bill will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to SPCA of Texas, spca.org or the charity of your choice.
