Wilma A. Brown (Cason)
Wilma A. Brown was born in Brumley, Texas on June 24, 1929 to Clarence and Annie Bell Williams. She was called to heaven on January 25, 2021. She was a resident of Heath, Texas. She was loved by all of her family and friends for her hospitality and witty demeanor. She was one of 4 sisters who were the best of friends and spent as much time together as possible. They will be happy to be reunited and heaven will surely have a party. She was a wonderful cook who loved to host family and friends. She loved to travel anywhere and saw many wonderful places during her life.
Wilma was a member of the First Christian Church of Rockwall for over 20 years, where she was incredibly involved, became a Stephen Minster, served on the board of trustees, and was a beloved elder helping in any way she could. She served as a trustee of Historical Brumley Crossroads Cemetery and oversaw its listing as a Texas historical marker.
Wilma is preceded in death by her greatest love, the late Bill H. Cason of Dallas. Second husband George E. Brown. Sons Richard L. Cason and John B. Cason. She was also preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Doris Ipsen, Ruth Rankin and Murlene Martin. Wilma is survived by her partner Milo Maness of Heath, who cared for her during her last few years. Stepson Rich Brown of Michigan. She is also survived by one grandson, Alan Cason and wife Crystal of Whitehouse, Texas. Two great grandchildren, Bryce Cason and Alex Cason. She was also survived by 2 daughters in law, Denise Cason of Leesburg and Janice Cason of Malakoff. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, including Susan Richey of Ft. Worth, Sarah Fagler and husband Albert of Ft. Worth, Tommy Martin and wife Harriett of Oakwood Texas, and Jan Martin of Blue Ridge.
Services will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:00 am, and visitation at 9:00am. Services are at Restland Memorial Chapel and Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Pastors Mark Irons of First Christian Church and Mick Tune.
