Winnie Dawkins Donica's Obituary
Winnie Dawkins Donica, age 88, of Dallas, TX died March 3, 2018, in Dallas, TX of natural causes. She was born July 23, 1929, to Wallace Dawkins and Etta Dawkins in Stuart, OK. She married Joe R. Donica on September 28, 1946, in Antlers, OK. Winnie moved to Texas for work while Joe was serving our country in Korea. Upon his return, they decided to stay in Texas and remained for the rest of their lives. She was an Executive Secretary for her entire working life. She was a member of several church and volunteer organizations throughout her life. She is survived by her son Steve Donica and daughter-in-law Corinne Donica of Dallas, TX, brother Wally Dawkins of West Monroe, LA, Grandsons Drew Donica of Dallas, TX and Eric Donica of Nashville, TN as well as a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Etta Dawkins, husband Joe Donica and brothers Milford Dawkins and L.G. Dawkins. The family request visitors on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Thursday, March 8, 2018, be at 1:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park.
