Winnie Rhea Jenkins' Obituary
Winnie Rhea Jenkins (nee Ables), age 91, entered into rest November 24, 2016. Born in Rochelle, Texas, she was a graduate of Rochelle High School and lived for most of her life in Mesquite. Mrs. Jenkins worked as a payroll clerk for the Golf Automatic Sprinkler Company for over 20 years. She was a longtime and devoted member of the Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins was a skilled seamstress and quilter and she was an active member of her quilting group. She could play the piano by ear and loved playing practical jokes on people. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her husband, Travis Marshall; daughter, Linda Kaye Reed; brothers, Elmer “Red” Ables, Hunter “Unc” Ables, and Robert Doyle “Buddy” Ables; and sister, Louise Penn; she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Drew Rawls; son-in-law, Tom Reed; grandchildren, Devin Rawls (Lauren), Kaytlyn Rawls (fiancé, Zak Schmidt), and Lyndsey Rawls; and great-granddaughter, Elena Rawls. A memorial service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, 9810 La Prada Dr., Dallas, 75228 with Pastor Tracy Dophied officiating. Private interment at Restland Cemetery, Dallas. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
