Winston Terrell Tillman's Obituary
Winston Terrell Tillman (Terry), of Frisco, TX passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15 in his home surrounded by his beloved family. Terry was a faithful Christian, proud lifelong Texan, and strongly committed to his family. He was a devoted husband for over 57 years to his “pretty woman” Beverly and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was generous, kind, and always found a way to develop a special connection with everyone.
He had a passion for history, especially Texas and the Civil War as well as ancestry. He kept everyone captivated with stories of his family and growing up with his parents, brothers, friends, and horses in central Texas. He was enthusiastic about automobiles and had a deep knowledge of mechanics, and found joy in the various cars he drove and kept in pristine condition.
He proudly served his country as a Navy veteran and carried that patriotism throughout this lifetime. He had a successful career in information technology, supporting well-known brands such as Dr. Pepper and Macy’s.
He was born on August 21, 1941 in Austin, TX to Charles and Gertrude Tillman and looked up to his older brothers Bill and Mitchell Tillman. Terry is survived by his loving wife Beverly Tillman, son Winn Tillman and daughter Tracey McKeon. He was blessed with six grandchildren (Jennifer, Jessica, Andrew, Jackson, Kristen, Ryan) and one great-grandson (Remington) who all adored their “Papa”. His gentle spirit and willingness to always lend a hand created a lasting impact and will forever be remembered by his colleagues, friends, and family.
The graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd at Restland Cemetery followed immediately by interment.
