Wray Allen Worrall's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Wray Allen Worrall on February 9, 2026. Wray was born on April 5, 1978, in Denton, Texas to Alexander H. (Trey) and Rebecca (Becky Burk) Worrall, III.
Wray grew up in Denton, surrounded by family and friends. He loved fishing, hanging out, and tearing around town on his bicycle with his brother, Hunter. He loved to spend time with his paternal grandparents, the late Fay and Hunter Worrall and to visit with his maternal grandmother, the late Jerry Bratten, of Brady, Tx. In the summer, Wray and his brother would visit their dad, Trey, and stepmother, Trisha (Duhon) Worrall in Louisiana where they could fish to their heart’s content, swim in their dad’s pond, and play with Goldie and Toby, their dad’s pitbulls. Wray learned to play his dad’s guitar while there. Good times!
He met his wife, Viva, when she visited a friend in Denton. Viva settled in Austin, and Wray soon followed. He and Viva were married on March 2, 2019, and made their home in Austin. Wray was employed in Austin, most recently employed by the Austin Water Utility and was a member of the AFSCME Union Local number 1624.
Wray was preceded in death by his father Alexander H. Worrall, III, his stepmother, Trisha Duhon Worrall, his paternal grandparents, Fay and Hunter Worrall, Jr., and maternal grandmother Jerry Bratten. His survivors include his wife, Viva Lowenkamp, his mother, Rebecca Burk, and his brother, Hunter Worrall, IV, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who will miss him very much.
Wray was a man with a big laugh, a big heart, and a wry/wicked sense of humor. He was loyal to those he loved, and a rock to those who needed him. He loved to play his guitar, and he loved his family and friends. He will be much missed.
The family request that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Wray's memory.
