It is with a very heavy heart that I discovered this evening of Xuan’s passing from this world to heaven. We had worked on a project I had for a company that required translation and had become friends, always texting one another around important Christian holidays, so I was concerned I had received no response to my Easter message to him. Xuan is with God. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and a friend to all he encountered, wishing to share the traditions of his Vietnamese culture with others. He loved his family and was a hard working father and grandfather. His ambitions knew no bounds and if you want an example of a person who lived life successfully by his interactions with others, you can find no finer example than the life he lived. Xuan was truly a wonderful person, a reflection of the Christ spirit. I will miss conversations, eating Vietnamese food with him in RIchardson, and his positive texts. My prayers are with his family and friends – he loved you all deeply.
Dear Dad, I missed you very much, there were a lot of things that I wanted to talk with you… I wish there were more time. I wish you are around for our Vietnamese New Year coming up, this will be the first Lunar New Year without you. I missed the sound of your foot steps in our kitchen, I missed the sound of your sneeze in our living room (sometimes it was so loud it stuttered me). I missed your laughter, I missed your debate and I even missed your anger. How is that possible, today is 1/26/17, and it has been exactly one month since your passed, and it still seems like yesterday…
Xuan Van Tran was not just a good man, he was the greatest man. Xuan put everything above him, he was very caring to everyone, even those who didn’t return that favor. He was always there for everyone when they needed someone by their side. Xuan will be and is greatly missed by absolutely everyone. I haven’t ever seen such an incredible person like him before. He is now in a better place, and he will be watching over those who watches him. We love and miss you very much, Xuan.
Xuan is the type of person that just can’t be described in words! He had an internal drive unlike anyone I have ever known. ALWAYS put others before himself and was a great man! I will miss him greatly. I received a really nice text from Xuan just the day before he left us. Just proof that he was always thinking of others, even when he was sick! Xuan has given me something to strive for! I will see you again Xuan! Officer Mike Hatfield – Garland PD (retired)
We are so very sorry to hear of Mr. Tran’s passing. I would observe how he would so caringly and diligently help the children at ILT cross the roads during drive line. As a parent, that steadfast daily act spoke volumes to me. He would always seem to be the first to run to someone’s aid on campus. He was always, always so friendly, humble, and genuinely cared for the well being of the children. In a brief interaction I recalled him sharing his own interest for languages and the school’s motto. What an extraordinary person! He will be dearly missed by the ILT community!
We have been very fortunate to have Xuan and his sweet family as next door neighbors. He was always ready with a smile and wave. Xuan would always ask about our family and stop for a quick chat. Just such a sweet and caring man. What an asset to our neighborhood and Richardson. Our neighbor and friend will be missed.
Mr. Tran was a wonderful and beautiful human being. Always putting others before himself. Always showing how much he cared about everyone. He always made sure if you ate something and asked if you were ok. He always reminded me of the days we needed to go to mass.?? He truly was a devoted person to God. I will truly miss seeing him and hearing his stories. Rest in peace my brother.
Mr. Tran will be greatly missed. As a parent and volunteer at ITL, I got to know him well. He was always there to greet me and ran to help me as I was running in the school with my arms full.
