Yasuko Hashiura Robinson's Obituary
Yasuko Hashiura Robinson, a remarkable artist and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at the age of 96. Born in Nakano-Ku, Tokyo, Japan, Yasuko was the cherished daughter of Yasuo Hashiura and Aya Iwakuro.
Yasuko's life was a testament to her incredible talent and dedication to the arts. She was an accomplished painter and photographer, capturing the beauty of the world through her unique perspective. Her passion for Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, earned her recognition as a Master, a title she held with great pride, and she loved to tutor the next generations of Ikebana students.
In 1953, Yasuko married Milton Davis Robinson, Jr. in Tokyo. Their union was a beautiful blend of cultures and love, lasting until Milton's passing. Yasuko's legacy is one of creativity, grace, and resilience, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the artistic community she so profoundly impacted. Yasuko's spirit will live on through her art and the memories she leaves behind.
A wake will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home.
