Yen Van Nguyen's Obituary
Yen Van Nguyen, 92, of Garland, Texas passed away on June 2, 2019 in Garland. He was born in Hanoi, Vietnam on March 27, 1927 to Hung Nguyen and Lieu Ngo.He married his beloved Khoa in Vietnam and spent several years as both an officer and musician in the South Vietnamese Army before coming to the United States. Locally, Yen was well-known for his ability to play the saxophone.Yen was a great dad and grandfather. He was well-liked in the Dallas Vietnamese community and the many who were blessed to know him.Family will receive friends at Restland Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, June 6th and 7th, 2019.The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, 2121 Apollo Road, Garland, Texas 75044. Burial will follow in Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Rest.
