Yolanda Leonard's Obituary
Yolanda Leonard, 59, of Dallas, Texas, went to be with her Lord on June 17, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her husband and family.
Yolanda was born in Big Spring, TX on August 27, 1964 to parents, Joe and Anita Teneyuque. Yolanda was raised in Beaumont, TX, but moved away to begin her working career in local government and law, soon after graduating from French High School. After living in several cities throughout Texas, she would eventually settle in Dallas as her home. Yolanda was employed by the law firm of Schouest Bamdas Soshea BenMaier & Eastham of Houston. Yolanda always maintained the highest level of work ethics and loyalty to the firm and its clients. Yolanda often spoke very highly of the law firm and loved every person she worked with.
Yolanda had a genuine love for God, people, and animals and was always eager to help and accommodate everyone else, even at the cost of neglecting herself. She will be remembered as one of the most selfless and generous human beings our God has ever created. Yolanda lived her life to the fullest, whether she was riding in an acrobatic aircraft, cruising on her houseboat, or traveling to England. Yolanda loved her fur-babies Bella Mia and Max, and also loved traveling, concerts, casinos, air shows and LSU. Yolanda passionately lived by the premise of “Live, Laugh, Love”, and lived it to the fullest. Her uncontrollable and contagious laughter will always be remembered, and can still be heard, if you listen closely.
Yolanda is preceded in death by her loving father, Joe Teneyuque, who recently passed away, and with whom she is now reunited.
Yolanda is survived by her loving husband Paul H. Leonard, mother Anita Teneyuque, siblings Joe Teneyuque of Sour Lake, TX; Cindy Gonzalez and husband Gamaliel, Christina Garcia and husband Marcelino, and Matthew Teneyuque, all of Baytown, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, bonus children and grandchildren and many friends, all of whom she dearly loved.
