Young King Wisener's Obituary
Young King Wisener, beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, honorably discharged Cryptographic specialist Army veteran, and esteemed member of his community and First Baptist Church of The Fields, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Born the youngest of seven children—Bo, Fred, Ted, Gerald, Joy, and Maxine—King’s life was marked by love, hard work, and enduring faith.
He dedicated himself to his family and was a devoted husband to Sara Ann Sewell, whom he married on February 12, 1971. Their biblical bond was a testament to love and commitment that continually inspired those around them. King was a cherished father to his son Lee stepdaughter Shannon Henry-Cooper.
As a fearless Christian and Deacon in his church, King’s influence extended beyond his immediate family. He lived his faith daily, embodying the values of kindness, generosity, and strength. A passionate basketball fan, he shared many joyful moments cheering for his Dallas Mavericks and beloved Texas Longhorns.
King’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren—Blake and Hayden Cooper; Maren, Sam, and Bauer Wisener; and Jace and Callie Joan Carver-Wisener, and great grandchildren Seth Lee and Bailey Cooper, who will remember him as a loving and supportive figure in their lives.
His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Young will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will forever remain in our hearts.
