Yseult Wilhelm's Obituary
Yseult Wilhelm, age 93, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at VITAS Hospice Unit at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Carrollton, Texas. She was born on July 26, 1926, the daughter of Alois and Gertrude Wilhelm of Lyon, France.
Yseult earned a degree in languages from Lyon's Edgar Kulnet University. After coming to the United States, she worked as a linguist for Southwestern Securities in Dallas, Texas, handling the foreign correspondence and occasional interpreting for all brokers and the directors of research. Her languages included French, German, English, Spanish and Greek. She later worked as an Underwriting Assistant for USAIG, an aviation insurance company, where she retired after 34 years.
Yseult is preceded in death by her parents.
Yseult was an excellent cook and she enjoyed sharing her specialties with others, including her wonderful French Potato Salad, flan and tarts. She had a great love for animals, evidenced by the adoption of many cats into her home over the years. One of her favorite hobbies was English Style horse-back riding. She also loved the arts and ballet and to travel to new places.
Yseult made an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to ASPCA as Yseult was an avid animal lover.
