Adam Michael Brooks' Obituary
Brooks, Adam Michael Born on August 27, 1978, in Odessa, TX, our beloved Adam passed away in Dallas on April 4, 2010. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX. For almost 32 years, Adam touched so many lives in so many different ways. He collected friends, guitars and stray animals. Adam had the soul of a musician and the heart of a gentle giant. Besides music, his greatest joy was being with those who loved him. Adam was truly blessed by those who cared for him and about him. Adam is succeeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jane Brown of Giddings, TX. He is survived by wife Amber Lewis of Austin, mother and father Teri and Rick Brooks of Richardson, TX, brother Aaron, sister -in-law Sarah, niece Katelynn and nephew Chase of Abilene, TX. He also is survived by maternal grandfather Sandy Brown of Giddings, TX, paternal grandparents Dot and Dick Brooks of Richardson, TX, aunt and uncle Leslie and Earnie Wright, aunt and uncle Angie and Charlie Brown, and cousins – Cherie Oltmann and family, Colbey Wright, Cheyenne Brown, Ciera Brown, and Cole Brown, all of Giddings. Arrangements are in the care of Restland Funeral Home Inc. of Dallas. The family suggests that donations in Adam’s memory be made to the Austin Recovery Center (Austin) or East Lake Pet Orphanage (Dallas).
