I worked directly with Andy for 15 years in the Texas Instruments carpenter shop. I had been working on outside rough construction and had no experience in finish carpentry. Andy taught me everything that he know about being a fine craftsmen during the years we worked together. I remember one the vice-presidents of the company was overseeing the renovation of one of the corporate jets and could not visualize the plans. He asked Andy if he could make a full-size mock-up of the passenger cabin of the plane and without any hesitation he said sure. He and I worked on that project for a couple of weeks and gave that VP something that he could walk into and see with his own eyes and touch with his own hands. That was just one of the many unusual requests that Andy and I worked on. Andy was always unselfish with his time and talents and a great pleasure to be around. He will be missed by all who know him.
