Alan passed peacefully on March 9th, 2021 after several years of declining health, with his wife Esther by his side. Born in Rochester, New York in 1942, he moved to Dallas, Texas in 1949 with his parents Jack and Eleanor Gallagh Read Obituary
Mrs. Esther, It was wonderful knowing Mr. Alan as I use to call him, we volunteered with Mr. Alan at Buckner S.O.S. Shoes for Orphan Souls, we had many laughs together and social hours I would call them! My husband JR & I along with the other volunteers really missed Mr. Alan when had to discontinue his service because of illness.

Alan and Esther drove me to the Dart rail station many evenings after Esther and I finished work at the Highland Park Library. I remember Alan also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. He loved to help people. He was a true gentleman. Rebecca
