Alice participated in Zoom calls once a month with those of us from the 1961 graduating class of St Luke’s hospital. We enjoy keeping in touch after our long years of nursing. She attended whenever she could and we were all saddened by her passing. I remember when she and Milt visited us in Las Cruces, NM during her years as a traveling OB nurse. Alice loved the challenges of nursing. She told us how they enjoyed traveling in their RV and she enjoyed the variety of her practice at so many different hospitals. Alice truly made a difference to many lives.

I met Alice when we both entered the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, MO in September of 1958. I remember how upset she would become whenever we had a storm. She had survived the Ruskin MO tornado. It was understandable and we comforted her at the time. Another memory was that we both went for Catholic instruction. Once a week, we walked to Our Lady of Good Counsel in Westport. Each of us worked with a young priest. After a couple of weeks, my priest asked me to consider did not have her walking partner. Over the years, we have kept in touch and I loved her. Regardless of what her problems were, she always was positive. The last time I saw her was a couple of years ago when she came from Texas to visit her brother. Alice, Nancy, and I had lunch in Lee's Summit. Alice attended several of our nursing school class reunions. Alice often joined our nursing school classmates monthly Zoom session. Alice had the longest nursing career of any of our classmates. We will miss her. Rest in peace dear Aiice in the arms of God.
