I sighed and cried when Mom called to tell me last night. Your mother was something I cannot even put in words. She had the kindest heart, a loving heart and always embracing everyone in her life openly with true sincerity and acceptance and love. She was so special and you rarely meet anyone like this… so to have known her as a young girl growing up at St Paul's and then being always as an adult being welcomed into her embrace and showered with her smile… you could feel the Lord in her every time. Prayers for your family. The Angels are chorusing Hallelujah. Your Dad is welcoming her home.

Oh, dear Alma! How you and Kelly graced our lives and our church! I imagine Clarence and my parents are already taking you on a grand tour of Heaven and Kelly will be steering y'all to stop at every place that serves cinnamon rolls like S&S Tearoom and desserts "mit schlag". Kelly and my father always loved whipped cream on anything! I will always remember treating them and DeeDee to four scoops of ice cream each (teetering on cones!) on the coast of what was Yugoslavia in the mid 1980's. Those 6×4=24 scoops of various flavors of ice cream cost me a total of $1.20!! Wow, we were all in kid heaven with those unbelievably tall and good ice cream cones! What fun Alma was! What a beautiful person inside and out with her gorgeous twinkling blue eyes. What a good cook. How talented both were with their hands. Bask now in the brilliant glory of God, your health and memory restored, quietly putting your signature loving touches into your Heavenly home with Kelly! Rest In Peace, surrounded by unimaginable, total Love! You've left me with thousands of fun memories, several award-winning recipes, and your always warm, welcoming ways!
