Alma Amelia Halle's Obituary
Alma A. Janke Halle passed away on November 11, 2016 at the age of 96. Born in Wishek, North Dakota, where she spent her childhood years, she moved to Wisconsin where she met and married her husband Clarence Halle. They lived and raised their family in Wisconsin until 1956 when they moved to Dallas, Texas and lived in the White Rock Lake area in a home built by Clarence .In 2000, they moved to C.C. Young retirement home. Clarence preceded her in death in 2005. Also preceding her in death were her brothers Rueben Janke and Edwin Janke and her sister Agnes Conklin Cromer. Alma was a Sanger-Harris – Foley’s associate for 22 years. She and her family were active members of St. Paul’s E & R United Church of Christ, for over 45 years. Leaving to mourn are three children, daughter Mary Hemby of McKinney, Texas, daughter Nancy and her husband Roy Wheatley of Shady Shores, Texas and son Robert Lee Halle of Houston, Texas. Three grandchildren, Shane and Leslie Hemby, Stacy and Matt Thompson and Stefanie and Steve Markham. And six great-grandchildren, Bradyn Markham, Kaylee Markham, Ethan Hemby, Elise Hemby, Maryn Thompson and Daniel Thompson. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14,2016 at 10:00AM at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul’s E & R United Church of Christ at 6464 Lovers Lane, Dallas, TX 75214 or to C.C. Young Retirement Home memorial fund at 4847 W. Lawther Drive, Dallas, Texas 75214.
