I was just remembering the time that I had gone out to Mamma & Pappa's and we had just set down to dinner, which was stew that night. I asked him if after dinner I could go outside and pet my rabbits. And he looks me squarely in the face and says "Girlie what do you think we just ate for dinner?" Well that was my Pappa. So I threw my half eaten of bowl of stew at him. And by the way, he wasn't kidding. I love you and I miss you Pappa. But so you know I do still miss those rabbits.

I remember A.W. more from when I was a child but my memories are fond. He was always sweet to me and always seemed to happy. I remember loving him so much and always looked forward to seeing him. Its sad to know he is gone but I'm sure there are plenty who are happy to see him again. God Bless.

I don't have a specific story but do have memories of a man who was always kind to me when L was a kid and always smiling. He parked his RV at our place in Houston for a few weeks and we really enjoyed his stay.My husband and A.W. became buddies over those weeks and missed him when he left.

I rember one night after my Father (Bob Pirkle) and Uncle A. W. had set up all night talking at the house in Houston, Finally going to bed. Mom had given A. W. and Martha my Parents room for the night and Mom and Dad had taken mine. I was laying on the floor laughing when I herd the yells of Mom (Faye) and Aunt Moss telling them they were both climbing in the wrong beds.
