Alonzo "A.W." Dick's Obituary
Born August 17, 1924 in Frisco, Texas; passed away March 29, 2009 in Denton, Texas. Alonzo was married to Martha Lillian Flannigan on March 12, 1946. They had three children together; Shirley Hagberg, William Luis Dick and Billy Allen Flannigan. Alonzo is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; sister, Freida Pauline Staton; and his brother, Leslie Allen Dick. He was preceded in death by his sister, Oneita Violet Patterson. Alonzo is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in Restland’s Abbey Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
