The greatest honor a pastor could ever have experienced was to have had the honor and privilege of pastoring people like you. Brother and Mrs. Alton Taylor are names synonymous with words such as faithfulness, godliness, compassion, humility, loyalty, sacrifice and prayer. I praise the Lord for the legacy of Alton and Betty Taylor. The Word of God tells us that "he being dead yet speaketh." As long as anyone has memory of Brother Alton Taylor, they will hear him speak, they will see his evident testimony, and they will long remember that when he spoke, he had something to say,something worth listening to, and something worth remembering. Bro. Taylor led me through the Romans Road when I was 10 years old. Though I didn’t get saved that day, he laid the foundation, and for that I will always be grateful.
It was a great honor for me to have met this dear Christian Brother. I feel that there is an indebtedness owed to him. He set a great example of manhood and he leaves behind a family dedicated to the service of the Lord. God give us more men such as Mr. Taylor! God bless and comfort his dear family.
