You were my world, a best friend and the most incredible wise loving Father. It is so hard to be without you. I was visiting Mom and she said, let's look up Alvin and see how he is doing. We were both very saddened to learn of his passing. My own Hugh passed away June 10th. Hi Lori, I just recently became aware of your Dad's passing and it pretty much knocked the wind out of me. I wish that somehow, I could have been notified. Your father was a very special man. I learned things from him that have helped throughout my adult life. He was a man's man. The world lost a Giant spirit when Alvin left this world. He always had a smile, a kind word, and a loving heart. He loved his family more than anyone could, and would sacrifice anything for them. Alvin was a teacher in so many ways. He will be missed in so many ways. I am so very sorry for Lori, her Husband, Jessica and Max in their loss of this great man.
