Andrew "Andy" Robert McCulloch's Obituary
Andrew “Andy” Robert McCulloch died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving wife and six children on Monday, March 21st, in Dallas, Texas. He was 83 years of age. Andy is survived by his wife, Paula Carter McCulloch; his children, Laura McCulloch Gibbs, Janis McCulloch Langford, Bobby McCulloch, Lisa McCulloch, Kathleen “Casey” McCulloch Niederhofer and Clint McCulloch; sisters Sheila McCulloch England and Eileen McCulloch Norman, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert McCulloch and mother, Elizabeth Kilgour McCulloch. Andy was born on July 30th, 1932 in Dundalk, Maryland. After living in Nashville and Los Angeles, the McCulloch family moved to Dallas in 1945. Andy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1951, served in the United States Air Force for four years and earned degrees in business and law from Southern Methodist University. Early in his career Andy worked for Temco, which later became Ling Temco Vaught (LTV) and E-Systems. After law school, he was in private practice before serving as corporate counsel for UTL Corporation until his retirement. Andy was an accomplished photographer and an active member of the Dallas Camera Club. Over the course of his life he enjoyed sailing, skiing, boxing, football, swing dancing, dog shows, reciting limericks, talking to Siri and keeping a menagerie of pets. Visitation is planned for Friday, March 25th at Restland Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Cox Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to Highland Park United Methodist Church, ear-marked for The Oasis Foundation.
