Anita Pauline Hawkins' Obituary
Anita Pauline Hawkins, age 91, was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on May 29, 1934 to parents Zeb and Bessie Lathram and passed away in Dallas, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Laurie) of Hawaii, Stan (Sharlett) of Kaufman, TX, Neal Scott (Joy) of Midlothian, TX and Skylar Hawkins of Dallas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Anita grew up with three sisters, and two brothers in a hard-working family. Lucille, Jack, Sybil, Coy, and Burton, and she was the last remaining member of her family.
Anita married Willie Hawkins on November 2, 1952 and they were married for 67 years. She was a very hard-working women and the matriarch of her family. Anita had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved to sing and she could even yodel as she did while in the hospital still entertaining people.
Anita never met a stranger and was loved by her church as she loved them.
Anita was a devout Christian, nurturing mother and devoted wife to her husband Willie. She will never be forgotten by anyone who had the wonderful opportunity to have crossed her path. She will be deeply missed.
