My prayer of comfort and peace to the family and friends of Annie Bell Lewis. May the Most High God see you all through this time. "And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10
To the Lewis family. Bernice Thomas, Doris Thomas Hamilton, and Phyllis Thomas Simpson, Ph.d. have many memories of your family on Lafayette St. Ms. Annie Bell was such a beautiful person externally and internally. I will never forget that she would talk to my mother over the clothes lines in the back yard. She would watch out for Doris and me sometimes when my mother had to leave our apartment. May God give you comfort and peace in knowing that your mother was loved and remembered as a treasure and a blessing. Phyllis Thomas Simpson.

Mrs. Lewis had such a beautiful spirit and when I met her at her birthday party (only a few years ago), she greeted me with a heartfelt hug and kiss. She instantly made me feel like family and treated me as such each time afterwards that I saw her. It was truly a joy to be in her presence and I looked forward to visiting with her. I am so glad that my son Brice had a chance to meet his great grandmother. There are not many people that can leave such a lasting impression on your heart and I feel blessed I had the opportunity to know her. Machele Johnson
I was blessed with the greatest grandmother a person could have. I can't even explain in words how loving, gentle, and caring she was as a grandparent and mother as well. She will always be missed, remembered, and loved dearly. My grandmother is truly a GG and that truly represents Greatest Granny. I love you and you have inspired me to try and be as good of a person as you were. Love you my beautiful Greatest Granny. I am thankful to even have her last name.
