Aunita Joyce Yates Lemons, 87 of Heath, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 Heath, Texas. She was born September 26, 1932 to Homer and Myrtle Yates in Mesquite, Texas. She married J.T. Lemons on August 16, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. She sold Commercial Insurance in Dallas and Rockwall Counties, Fidelity Union, Ben Spurgin Insurance, and Stephenson-Davis Agency. She was a member of Fellowship Forney, in Forney, Texas.
Aunita is survived by her sons; Gene Lemons and his wife Donna of Dallas, Texas and Rick Lemons and his wife Ann of Forney; her brother; Elmer Yates of Greenville, Texas, her nine grandchildren; Laura and Robert Lemons, Tamara and Jim Davis, Darla and David Gardner, Amy and Jared Lemons and Olivia Lemons, and her nine great grandchildren; Jacob Gardner, Isabella Davis, Madalie Gardner, Jenna Davis, Joelle Lemons, Israel Lemons, Maxwell Lemons, Hailiana Davis, and Hendrix Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband; J.T. Lemons, her parents; Homer and Myrtle Yates, her brother; James Yates, and her sisters; Shirley Edwards and Betty Baker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fellowship Forney Church, located at 417 Pinson Rd., Forney, Texas 75126. Memorial services for Aunita will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Fellowship Forney Church, located at 417 Pinson Rd., Forney Texas 75126
