Avery Richard Knight's Obituary
Avery Richard Knight was born January 26, 2000, in Dallas, TX. He is the first child and only son of Marcus E. and Tengemana H. Knight. Avery left this earth on August 18, 2021 leaving behind his two sisters, Sanaa and Mia, grandparents Mavis and Richard Knight, Jr, Jaribu Hill and Ngoma Hill, in addition to a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Avery was a 2018 graduate of Dubiski Career High School in Grand Prairie ISD, where he pursued studies in Architecture. He chose to study Construction Management at Florida A&M University and The University of Texas at Arlington.
Avery had diverse interests, some of which were, architecture, cooking, politics and social justice causes. He was thoughtful, compassionate, and will be sorely missed as we mourn a life that ended too soon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Avery’s name to Momentous Institute – an organization that partners with children and families across the Dallas area as they work to achieve social emotional health and learning, as well as, counseling and therapeutic services. www.momentousinstitute.org
