Barbara A. Costello's Obituary
Jesus ushered into Heaven His good and faithful servant, Barbara Ann Costello, on May 27, 2015, after suffering from Parkinson’s disease in recent years. Barbara lived a full and godly life devoted to faith and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ann and John Mueller; husband, Kevin M. Costello and daughter, Vicki Hill. Born on April 23, 1937, in Bronx, NY and raised in New Hyde Park, NY, she was one of two children and is survived by her brother, John Mueller. In 1957, Barbara married Kevin and they lovingly brought seven children into the world who blessed them with thirteen grandchildren. While raising her family, she resided in Long Island, NY, Oklahoma City, Rochester, NY and lastly Richardson, TX. Barbara was passionate about raising her children, spending time with her grandchildren and serving the needs of others. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society, serving with unwavering faith and integrity. Barbara spent several years working at US Data and Gold Star Appliances. Her children include: Kevin G. Costello and wife Karla; Kathy Stewart and husband Reagan; Maureen Reynolds and husband Steve; Veronica Coronado and husband Chuck; Mike Costello and wife Alison; and Susan Costello. On Thursday, June 4, a rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM and visitation will begin at 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano with a reception to follow. The family would like to express its deep appreciation to the many healthcare professionals for the care and compassion shown to Barbara over the years at The Atria and The Plaza at Edgemere. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Barbara’s memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Mark’s Catholic Church or the Parkinson Voice Project.
