Her mother Mabel was the organist, and when she became the church’s pianist, this mother and daughter duo provided years of heavenly music for the church. Barbara formally retired from her role as pianist after 30 years of service, but she continued to play for Sunshine Choir, and various other engagements. Barbara was also a bookkeeper for the church for many years. In addition to her church duties, Barbara also had a fulltime job keeping the books, invoicing, and handling the payroll for the Family business. And as if all this was not enough, she still maintained the daily operations of raising 4 boys.
Barbara had a fun-loving spirit, she enjoyed going to musicals and playing all types of games, especially card games with the grandkids. She loved the outdoors and spending time at her lake house. She was always willing to participate in all outdoor activities. Her love for adventure was amazing.
Barbara’s love and compassion for people will be missed but will live on in all the lives of the people she has met, especially her adoring family. The warmth and passion she so freely gave will influence us for generations to come. We will always cherish her memory.
