Ms. Barbara D. McGowan , age 92, of Allen, TX was born July 18,1930in Evanston IL. to Dewey and Mary DeBoer and passed away on December 13,2022.
She Graduated with a bachelor's in science from Seton Hill College and was an avid reader and devout Catholic. Barbara loved nothing more than snuggling with her beloved dogs. She is preceded in death by her son, Patrick McGowan and her parents Dewey and Mary DeBoer.
She is survived by her brother, Edward DeBoer and his family, children Kathy and Joe Christman), Kevin and Teresa McGowan (spouse) and Sheila and David Swearingen (spouse), and her grandchildren: Shelly McGowan, Tim Christman, Tricia Phillips, Laura Jahnke, Kevin Christman, Sean McGowan, Michael Swearingen, Mark Swearingen and Jack Swearingen, as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
