Jill, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I only had the pleasure of meeting your husband two times. Once when we ran into each other at the state fair and the other time was when you were celebrating your birthday and dancing at Arthur’s in Addison. Each time he was very nice. I know he must have been a heck of a guy to win your heart! My heart goes out to your family. Please know you will always have an extended family in RISD. Sending love, hugs, and prayers to you and yours.Brooke Baumgartner
I will always be grateful for Ben’s help, knowledge and attitude. He took the time to listen, understand and recommend solutions. Even taking the time to visit one of my job sites to ensure the right product was being used. His knowledge was vast. I enjoyed even our small visits. It was more than learning chemistry. It was his wit, management skills and kindness. Loved his conservative attitude. “He built his business!” And did not appreciate anyone telling him differently. When he shared with me his health issues. I walked away in awe. Amazed at his “matter of fact” attitude, genuine honesty and grace.I will always remember Ben. He was truly a great gentleman!
Ben was not only a great guy, he was one of a kind! Funny, fiercely loyal, and always available to lend a helping hand. He was tall, handsome, loved his family to the utmost, and was an unbelievable friend. He was one of the proudest men I have ever known. He will be sorely missed, but his memories will never fade.
To the Carriker family. My heart goes out to all of you. My you all find comfort and peace during this stressful time. I didnt personally know Ben, but having known his children and grandchildren he must have been an awesome father and grandfather, may he rest in peace.
