Our prayers are with the family over the Promotion to Glory to Col Betty Salmon. The Salmons were our DCs when we were DYS AOK. We loved and respected them so much that we asked them if they would take care of our children if anything happened to us. Even though this was a big undertaking they agreed. We knew our children would be loved and cared for with them if they needed to do this . Blessings on the family.
Love and prayers Milly and Glenn Fite,
I absolutely loved working with Betty in the Women’s Dept. in Oklahoma City! There were so many things on my desk waiting for my arrival. To add to my worries, e ery few moments I heard her footsteps coming down the hall to my office. At one point I looked around and considered howI could hide from her. Alas, there was no getting away! I told her I considered jumping out of the window to the alley below. She laughed as only she could, and then went on with her business. We worked well together. She was down to earth and very kind. We often rode to work together, laughing all the way. What fun she was!
I remember Mrs. Salmon when she was at DHQ in Charlotte,N.C.with Col.Salmon as our DCs.She was always so pleasant to be around.I saw her at the 1990 International Congress in London,England bought her a coke when we ran into each other while touring the International College there.
