Ellen Drake
I remember when my family moved in next door I tried to ride my tricycle up and down the driveway as fast as possible so Ms. Betty wouldn’t see me. I didn’t know her yet and was afraid to talk to her (I was only about 3 year old). Little did I know I would get to know one of the kindest most vibrant people I have ever met. She never let anything slow her down, had quite the talent and dare I say passion for cooking, and most importantly she lived her life to the very fullest. She was loved by many and will continue to be loved my all who carry her in their hearts.
Ms. Betty I am so sorry I’m not there to say goodbye. I was so sure that whenever we came back to visit from Mexico we would get to see you. We would get to sit and talk about Mexico and what a beautiful country it is. You would get to see how much Esme has grown. Although that will never happen, you can now look down on us as we go on adventures here.
Thank you for always being such a kind, welcoming and wonderful person.
