Ann was my dearest best friend for 57 years. I was blessed by her presence in my life as the sister I never had….an aunt to my three children and an aunt to my grandchildren. She adopted my mother, Betsy, who loved her dearly, when I left Texas. Ann was always "good to go" and we were good travel buddies. We we to Paris, Sedona, and side trips in Texas and California. We flew across country for graduations and just to have fun together. She provided solace to me for in troubled times. Two months ago in October my 18-year old grandson Boomer and I came from California to spend a week with Ann and show him the wonders of Texas and where I grew up. Ann drove us around with her typical energy and enthusiasm making sure nothing was missed……including the great Texas food. It was a perfect visit. We laughed a lot….even when we got caught in one of those ferocious electrical rain storms. Ann made life better for everyone. She had a deep religious faith. Her innate nature was loving and generous. She practiced it as a lifestyle. My life was enriched by her friendship. Her light shone in her beautiful blue eyes. My children Heather, Chip, and Trevor and my grandchildren Boomer and Savanah join me in sending condolences to Franklin and Janet and all her loving family.
