Donna Stone
I started working at Merchants in 1969, and I still remember the first time I saw Bill. He looked so handsome and professional. I'm sure that Elta probably had something to do with the selection of those great "Navy Patent" shoes which by the way I thought were the "coolest". Bill was truly a Gentleman, and earned the respect of all those that came in contact with him. He had an incredible way of dealing with people and his work ethic was such that everyone around him learned from him. It was obvious that his knowledge of transportation was unsurpassed. He will always be remembered by so many of us, and we will never forget that great "Smile", his friendship and kindness. Elta and Van, God Bless both of you and your entire family. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. We know that God will give you strength in this difficult time. We will miss you "Precious" !
