Billy wood was always a second father to me. He was the cheerful, helpful Dad during nursing school. A ready painter and fix-er-upper guy after college. He was so proud of Pat following his steps serving in the Military in the Air Force. When he moved to Dallas. I was able to see him more often. When I would leave his house , I would have the latest wood crafting project in hand, like a finely detailed birdhouse or something practical like a back scratcher. He lovingly created a electric train village that took up the garage. Billy liked happy hour. Sharing a glass of red wine, cheese and cracker, the the dog of the day in his lap, a lively conversation would ensue for hours. He liked to share his adventures and misadventures during WWII. He was very resourceful in "commandeering" a sewing machine for his personal alterations business, a fire truck for his unit and a daughter for his family. This lively kind soul will be missed by all who knew him. Heaven has gotten a delightful personality and handyman! My sympathies to Pete and Pat. He loved you both. Ann B.
