I followed my two older brothers into Scouts. As a new Scout leader, Boyd Jones Sr., led a small group of us as we sought to achieve our Tenderfoot rank. He soon became our Scoutmaster and remained so as I eventually achieved the Eagle rank, Without a doubt, he was the most positive and influential male role model of my youth, apart from my father. So many of the best times and memories of my teenage years involve him. I'm still amazed and appreciative of his willingness to give so much of his time and himself to us. He certainly made the world a better place and he will be missed by many.
