Working with Brent on various City of Garland projects was refreshing because he was so vested in each project’s success. Brent and I would meet to discuss new testing, inspection, and rehabilitation technologies. In June 2011 we jointly presented a paper at the national Water Environment Federation Collection System Conference in Raliegh, NC. The paper was titled “The next generation of CCTV inspection” where we described a City of Garland project that used multi sensor inspection technology (MSI) to inspect the Duck Creek Interceptor that had extremely poor right of way access where conventional CCTV could not be used.
Over the years we would exchange photographs of odd things we would find during inspections. I will always remember they day he came by my office to thank me for the work I had done in Garland over the last several decades. He gave me a Marine Corps coffee cup, copy of the Constitution of the United States, American flag, and marine corps challenge coin all of which I still display in my office. So dedicated to everything he did. Gods speed Brent.
