Electra and Family,
Cal and I met in Austin, Texas in July 1979 while on a work related assignment. Although he was assigned to San Antonio for so many years and I was in Dallas we were able to maintain our friendship which I cherished for these so many years. Cal was such a distinguished man and had such a pleasing personality. He was such a caring person. My wife was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago. During these past years, he would call at least monthly to check on how she was doing. One day, on his 84th birthday he drove over to see her bringing a fruit basket for her. So much kindness.
Electra, your Dad was an amazing man, and I feel privileged to have known him. I know you will miss him deeply. I'll be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
