Carole Jean Fellman's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Carole Jean Bishop Fellman who departed this life on August 6th, 2025 in Houston, Texas, at the age of 79.
Carole was born June 30,1946 in Garland, TX where she grew up and later graduated from Garland High School. From there, she attended the University of North Texas. She kept in touch with two of her closest childhood friends, Margaret and Sandy, up until the day she passed.
Carole met and married her beloved husband, Bill Fellman, in 2004 through a mutual friend. They enjoyed traveling together and spending time with their grandkids, Sydney and Carson, who fondly called them Poppy and Grams. Holidays with family were their most cherished moments. Sydney recalls her and Carson making haystacks with Grams and eating so much butterscotch while they were visiting. Another favorite memory was making gingerbread men cookies. She said Grams had so much patience and cut up and laughed with them through the process. Grams was always “present” on every visit and wanted them to know how special they were to her. They will miss these special times moments.
Her love for her furry friends was strong as she treated each one as a family member. Her cat, Peyton, was her most recent love.
Carole was an active member of Cypress Creek Christian Church and found joy in doing arts and crafts with friends to help raise money for their church.
She had a love for collecting treasures to remind her of travels and experiences. From antique furniture, doll collections and trinkets, she loved showing them off and telling stories behind each one as she wanted you to feel the moment as she had experienced it.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Maureen Bishop of Garland, TX, Husbands John Birchfield and Bill Fellman both of Houston, TX and brother Jerry Bishop of Garland, TX.
She is survived by brother Don Bishop of Dallas, TX, sister-in-law Mary Jane Bishop of Garland, TX, Grandchildren Sydney and Carson Street of Montgomery, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 9:30AM on August 22nd, 2025, at Restland's Wildwood Chapel, with funeral services immediately following at 10:30AM.
