This is Carolyn: compassionate, caring, always welcoming to dinner (sometimes after the home smoke alarm was triggered), always welcoming always. Always glad to see you.

Dodge-Caravan curb-hop driving while she cheerfully "pumped the jamz", hauling us nerdy teenagers to middle (and sometimes) high school.

The story of her Texas State Fair venture with two broken legs is both true and legend. Her refrain: "Don't worry, I am fine" is a mantra we'd all be better off trying to embody.

Kind and generous, she will be remembered and missed.
