Carolyn Ann Hoyt's Obituary
Carolyn Ann (Cox) Hoyt of Royse City, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2026 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital after a battle with ovarian cancer. She was 79 years old.
Carolyn was born in Dallas, Texas on July 30, 1946 to Dorothy and Orville Cox. She attended W. W. Samuel High School and worked as a clerk in the insurance industry and in later years at J.C. Penney.
She married Michael Hoyt, and they had three children, Michael Jr., Daniel, and Cheryl, and three grandchildren.
Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and spirited laughter. She loved animals, children, and a cheerful garden. Her only enemy was cancer.
In her travels with her husband, she left few warm places undiscovered. Above all she prized an honest cup of coffee at most any hour, and a sunny day in any season.
Carolyn is survived by her husband and three children. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother, and many friends and relatives.
A visitation will be held on February 18 at Restland Funeral Home's Wildwood Chapel in Dallas at 9:30am, followed by a service at 10:30am and burial at 11:30am.
