Carrol Ann (Small) Green's Obituary
Carrol Ann (Small) Green, passed away on October 31st, 2025 in Dallas TX at the age of 80.
Carrol Ann was born on October 30th, 1945, in San Diego, CA, to Arthur Gilbert and Gretta Small, with sisters Jo Ellen and Sheryl Sue several years later. Early in her childhood she moved to Austin and then San Antonio, TX, where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1963. She later graduated from Southwest Texas State College in 1967 with a degree in Elementary Education.
Carrol followed her dream of being an elementary school teacher for just a few years before joining the family hearing aid business, Audicles Inc., which she ended up running successfully for more than 3 decades. She found her greatest joy in fitting kids and even toddlers with their first hearing aid and seeing their faces light up as they heard well for the first time in their lives. As a former teacher, she knew how much she had improved their development. She collected hundreds of pictures of these children throughout her long career.
Carrol is survived by her daughter Gaylynn Robinson with husband Tim, her son Tom Green with wife Hazel, sisters Jo Ellen Albert and husband Howard, and Sheryl Baker and husband Bruce. After retiring, she moved to the Dallas area and cherished the time she spent watching her grandkids Jacob and Lauren after school, helping them with their homework and teaching them about life as well as school.
The primary consistency throughout her life was her faith, which never wavered even in tough times. She was known for her plentiful gentle prayers and not-so gentle wisdom. In her last days, she reflected on her faith, her family, her travels, and her hopes for the future of her family.
A celebration of life will be held at the church she attended, Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Sachse Texas on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 10:30 am.
