Sweet Ada, I first met John when I was 5 yrs. old and he was 7. He was a lot like a brother to me. We played together and also fought. Our parents thought, because he was "older" he should keep an eye on me when going and coming from school. I didn't agree and tried to outrun him. He also tried to oversee me when we were at church. The tales I could tell you of growing up as next door neighbors! I am a widow now, but my husband and I were John's first marriage to perform. When he was in seminary we used to argue over biblical issues. I just discovered this evening that he had passed. It has stirred a lot of memories. I guess his burial was in Sherman because that is where his parents are. His services at Restland were where my husband's were in 1993. If you ever feel like talking, my number is 214-824-2960. I always admired you and your patience and long suffering. I loved him like a brother but as long as I knew him he never got out from under his mom's thumb. Throughout the years I have wondered how you were fairing…..and I have prayed for you. You walked with the Lord and it showed. I am guessing your life has not been easy. Your sister in Christ.
