CB Upton's Obituary
CB Upton was born March 24 1923 to Floyd Carrie Upton and Mada Pearl Hicks in Eastland County, Texas. He worked for National Welding and Grinding Company for 33 yrs before retiring. Once retired, for the next 18 years he served as a school crossing guard for the Dallas ISD. His main goal in life was leading others to Christ. He served as deacon and Sunday School Director for over 50 yrs at Open Door Baptist and Bethany Baptist Church in Dallas. Preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings Glenn Upton, Aline Hester, Huston Upton and Rufus Dale Upton. CB is survived by his wife of 73 years, Audrey Fay Westerman of Mesquite; son, Chuck L Upton and wife Rhonda of Rockwall; grandchildren, Holly Woodlee of Rockwall, Misti Svoboda of Bozeman, Montana, and Cole Upton of Rockwall; and great grandchildren, Harper Svoboda, Luke Woodlee, Elijah Woodlee, Andrew Woodlee and Jude Woodlee. Services for CB will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Auguwst 1, 2015 at Whispering Waters Mausoleum with visitation one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum.
