What can I say about Charles "Chuck" Ashley Brewer. What a guy. I will never forget all the times as kids us playing together in Garland, Texas with my other cousins. Running in the tall soft grass in summer and getting Chigger bites (itching for days), eating hotdogs and ice cold watermelon at Aunt Annies, and going to the dime store nearby at the Garland Shopping center. Going over to the Brewer’s house where it just seemed like heaven—all the toys and games they had and shared. Later, I can remember as adults taking Chuck and his awesome newly wed bride, Claudia to the Moana Surf Rider—the “The First Lady of Waikiki” for dinner on the Veranda. They both came over to Hawaii for their honeymoon. The very first thing I noticed was his smile—It hadn’t changed in all those years. It was still the exact same smile I remembered as kids. He didn’t possess any smile, it was a smile that uniquely expressed his heart—a smile that communicated happiness and true enjoyment! Priceless.
It is an honor to have you as my cousin. I can’t wait till we see each other again in life eternal. I’m sure that you, as always, will be wearing that smile.
Your cousin
